deep tissue massage

The purpose of a deep tissue massage is to relieve your chronic aches and pains, such as stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg or arm muscle tightness and sore shoulders by focusing on realigning/manipulating deeper layers of tissue in the body, including the fascia and other connective tissues that make up the muscles and joints.

Some of the strokes are similar to a traditional massage, however, the movements are slower and the pressure is much deeper and more concentrated on areas of tension and pain.

At certain points during the massage you will usually experience some form of discomfort and pain, which is normal (a “good hurt” as I call it), but it is important that you communicate with me when you feel this is outside of your comfort zone. Everyone has a different level of comfort and tolerance for pain and you should never experience more pain than you can reasonably bear.

All my treatments are completely tailored to you individually and for you not only to get the best out of each treatment, but to also feel that is was a pleasurable experience.

The key benefits of a deep tissue massage are relief of stress/anxiety, reduce pain and discomfort, make movement easier, assist the body to heal itself and also to lower heart rate and blood pressure.

Your body's ability to heal is greater than anyone permitted you to believe
